So this is the plan
This entry is just about what I want this blog to be.
Writing used to be the best part of my day.
Beginning at about the age of 12 on, I would write with every free moment I could find. From 7th grade til 12th, I'd estimate I spent 10 hours a week writing recreationally (so not counting school assignments). I'd routinely turn down parties and other excursions with friends in order to stay home and finish a piece. I was lonely, but I was fulfilled.
After that, writing and I had a bit of a rocky patch. It was hard to face a blank page, and whenever I did sit down to write, the most pathetically emo stuff would emerge from my pencil. That is, of course, until I found a process that worked for me. I've covered my process in other places in the past, and probably will again here on this blog in the future, but that's not what this entry is about.
What this entry is about is that my previous process no longer works for me, and I was looking for a new one... which is how this blog was born. My friends Kent and Buttons told me to start a blog, so that is what I am going to do. Every single day, I am going to write something. Anything. Stories, opinion pieces, poetry, essays, sonnets, jokes, skits, blah blah blah, I will write SOMETHING every day.
I am not trying to become the next Perez Hilton, I am not trying to get famous or wealthy from this, I just want something to motivate me to write every day again. What I ask of you, dear reader, is for you to read the things I write as often as you can and tell me your opinions. Tell me if you think it's terrible, tell me if you think it's good, give me ideas of things to write about, tell me if you agree or disagree, debate me, argue with me, I dunno.
Anyway, starting next entry, things will begin to take shape. I'm looking forward to it.
